Swim, Fitness, & Tennis Club

Download the Membership Application from the Clubhouse page and submit the completed form along with payment to Park Timbers Homeowners Assn c/o 34 Yosemite Dr., NOLA, 70131. To be eligible for the pre-5/31/2023 rate, payment and form must be received at 34 Yosemite Drive by 11:59 pm on or before May 31, 2023.

Your membership includes persons in your “household”. This includes family members residing with you at your home (and college kids temporarily away from home).  You are not charged guest fees for your grandchildren and great-grandchildren when they accompany you at the Club. Adult children, other family members and other guests are assessed guest fees and are not allowed entry without the member.

Members have access to our pool area, tennis/pickleball court area, fitness center, and play structures. Restrictions apply as to age for all activities so please review the Rules contained on our Clubhouse page. In addition to having access to the Pool, Tennis and Fitness facilities, we offer aquarobics to members free of charge. We also offer, for additional fees, access to our fitness personal trainer, swimming lessons, tennis camps and tennis lessons.

Membership is for a one-year term. The start date of your membership determines the renewal date. If you began your membership on May 30 of a given year, your membership must be renewed by May 30 of each subsequent year to avoid having your individual Club Code deactivated.

The Club is accessible all year to members from 5 am to 10 pm daily (11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays).  Due to our Clubhouse being used as our local polling station, the Fitness Center may close on election days.

Yes. Different rental rates and conditions apply. Please see our Party Rules for more details or contact our party planner, Shiela MacDougall, (504) 621-4368.

Lifeguards are not on duty until Memorial Day weekend, so please consult the General Rules and Pool Rules on the Clubhouse page for details on age restrictions for swimmers.  No one under the age of 18 is allowed in the Club at any time without being accompanied by an adult.  Swimming is at your own risk.

We are a non-smoking facility, including the use of vapes.

Board of Directors

No. Our Covenants prohibit our Board Members from being paid for their services. Our Board is made up of volunteers.

Board members are elected at the Annual General Membership Meeting held on the first Tuesday of December of each year. The meeting is open to Park Timbers Homeowners only.
You do not need to be on the Board of Directors to volunteer for a committee or to volunteer to help the community. All volunteers are welcome. We have service days for clean up of community islands, as well as at the Park Timbers Swim, Tennis and Fitness Center. Please contact the PTHOA President if you are interested in volunteering. Service days will be listed on the Calendar of Events.

Restrictions

Please refer to the PTHOA Rules page that contains our Covenants, By-Laws, Standing Rules and a Summary of Rules to assist homeowners.

Park Timbers recorded its Covenants (for all four sections) during the time of its formation. Under Louisiana law, the act of having done this makes Park Timbers and its Community Documents legally recognizable and enforceable. The Covenants are just one part of the Community Documents. Louisiana law defines community documents, and thus the rules that are binding on our homeowners, in part as “bylaws, declarations, covenants, conditions, restrictions, rules and regulations, or other written instruments, including any amendment thereto …” As a result, the rules and regulations passed by the Board, as well as the other community documents, are binding on all homeowners within our boundaries.

Our Covenants require approval for any change, improvement, alteration, work being done to the outside of the property (including the main home structure, garage, landscaping, driveway, sidewalk – essentially, any part of the property visible from the street). For a summary list, please see the PTHOA Rules page.

When approval is not obtained prior to the work, as required by Article 1 of the Covenants, it becomes a Covenant violation, and you run the risk of the work being halted and/or having to be redone in accordance with the Covenants.

No. No boat, RV, camper, trailer (even a hauling trailer), commercial vehicle, can be parked, housed, stored or maintained on your property (in any place visible from the street) or on the street.

City Services

If you have a broken can, please do not swap your broken can with your neighbors intact can! Go online to nola311.org and select “Services”. From there, select “Request Service”. In the details section, select “trash”, and when requesting a reason, choose “replace trash cart.” You should then receive an email that your request has been assigned to a vendor. A new cart will be brought to your home on collection day and the damaged can should be removed.

Contact 311 and schedule a bulk trash pickup. The City will advise you of the date to put out your items. Do not put items curbside until the day before your scheduled pick up.
