About Park Timbers
Developed during the 1970’s, Park Timbers remains one of the most in demand neighborhoods in Algiers, LA. It’s in a great location, with entrances on General de Gaulle and Lennox Blvd. Backing up to Brechtel Park, the streets are easily identified – they all relate to National Parks!
Park Timbers is an upscale residential community comprised of over 350 homes located less than ten minutes from downtown New Orleans and the French Quarter. With the close proximity to the city center and being conveniently nestled around shopping, restaurants, schools, churches, three golf courses, the Algiers Regional Library and Brechtel Park, Park Timbers is one of the best places to live in the New Orleans area.
Today, it’s just a lovely and diverse neighborhood with a mix of original owners, new neighbors, families, and retirees.
Residents belong to the Garden Club and the Kids Club and participate in events like teen nights, swim parties, annual Night out Against Crime, Easter Egg hunts, and a 4th of July parade.
